Best-known beats best every day!

Read that again.
You can have the best product or service in the world but if nobody knows about it then you’re screwed.
On the flip side, if you have great marketing, prospects will have more touchpoints with your offer. American Express says prospects need to have 7 different touchpoints with your offer before they decide to take action. This is why you receive so many seemingly useless pamphlets in the mail. You’re subconsciously being primed and you don’t even know it.
Scary but kinda cool at the same time. When it comes to our own products or services it’s up to us as the business owner to get as many eyeballs on our offer as possible.
One of the easiest ways to do this is through social media.
The more attention you can convert into the next stage of your funnel the better.
My current strategy is to take the eyeballs and attention from social media and funnel it into this newsletter.
Building a strong email list is the ultimate superpower.
Here’s why:
- Own audience: You can be de-platformed from Twitter or any social media and just like that lose ALL of your followers. But if you have their email you can stay in contact with them in via email (like I’m doing here).
- Products and Services: Your newsletter is the second stage of your funnel and is where you can pitch your products and services. Remember, social media is short-form content, and successful creators are able to capture attention and move the prospect down the funnel to take action (i.e DM, sign up for a newsletter, follow, etc)
My goal for 2023 is to grow this newsletter to 10k subscribers by using social media at the top of the funnel and converting attention to newsletter subscribers.
10k newsletter subscribers is a big number for me but I know we can do it.
If you haven’t started a newsletter don’t wait. Pick a topic and begin writing immediately. You won’t regret it. I’d love to hear your strategy and learn more.
